Blue Jean Sabbath

Sabbath is a day of engagement with God and the world He loves.  This is a time where we increase the capacity of our hearts instead of our bank accounts or the value of our land.  One way we do this at CrossWalk is by working up a "holy sweat" once a month, on Blue Jean Sabbath.  On the first Sabbath of every month we worship in jeans as a symbol of our calling to serve others and also for the practical purpose of getting dirty.

It’s really a simple day.  We put on our jeans, pack a sack lunch, then come to church to worship our creator.  After second service we eat our lunch and then go and join one of the serving projects.  Don’t worry, though; not all the projects require dirt and mud.  Many of the projects are indoors and casual.
