Impact - Introduction

Dear Reader,

Welcome to IMPACT, our series on the life of Joshua. As we delve into portions of the Pentateuch, the New Testament, and the book that bears his name, I pray you will be inspired to find a new understanding of God’s calling on your life. This journey can potentially ignite momentum in your spirituality, leading to personal growth and transformation.

There are two ways to understand the word IMPACT in these passages. The first is to listen as the Holy Spirit creates impressions in your life. Listen for His movement and invite Him to change you in ways you may not realize you need. Sense the hands of God squishing into the soft clay of your spiritual life and allow yourself to be shaped by His plans.

The second way I’m using the word IMPACT is as an invitation for you to activate as a part of the body of Christ. Your unique contribution is invaluable. You are intended to change the world around us. Allow the footsteps of Joshua to inspire you to action. Stretch your spiritual legs, make an impression, and leave your unique footprint in the damp sand of your community. Lay claim to hope for your family, vision for the church, and passion for those who don’t know Jesus. Rise to the challenge of these words to go beyond voyeuristic reliance, patiently watching for God to do something while planning to stay out of it. Step. Dent your world. IMPACT.
