What is Abide?

Abide, Crosswalk’s discipleship ministry, provides ways to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ by learning from Him how to live in The Kingdom of God through Christian spiritual practices.

On December 6, 2023, Pastor Jon Ciccarelli and Pastor Tim Gillespie presented their ideas and vision for discipleship at Crosswalk church, as we learn what it means to become followers of Jesus across all our campuses.

Jon Ciccarelli is the Pastor for Discipleship at Crosswalk Church in Redlands, California, and Director of Discipleship for Crosswalk Global where he oversees, develops, and provides opportunities for people to abide with Jesus as His follower and apprentice. He is passionate about living life at the feet of Jesus through solitude, engagement with other disciples, and mission. Jon is a native of Southern California and earned his undergraduate degree from Loma Linda University in Theology/Ministerial Emphasis and his master’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Azusa Pacific University. He is currently working toward completing his Doctorate in Leadership and Christian Formation from George Fox University. Jon is married to Lisa, and they have two young adult children, Andrew & Alana.
