This year, the Crosswalk Conference will center around the concept and value of Belonging. It is our first End Statement, and it represents a commitment we make to each of our communities. Belonging is often misunderstood as a sentiment without action, a desire without movement, or a platitude without presence. All of these undermine the true meaning of belonging.
Belonging begins with how Jesus loved us—the theology he demonstrated through his acts of acceptance and love—and through the lessons we learn from his teaching, healing, and comforting. This year, we choose to follow Jesus into the theology of Belonging, the act of Belonging, and the practice of Belonging through keynote speakers, worship and arts experiences, and a learning platform that shares best practices from hospitality and explores how it relates to Belonging, worship, and shared experiences—ranging from preaching to community structures that foster and enhance belonging.
This year, we will hear less from experts and more from you during our workshops. Each of our communities has discovered effective ways of creating Belonging, and we aim to share these practices, encourage one another, and grow together.
Join us for the various discipleship activities, workshops, worship experiences, and celebrations over these three days together.
Thank you for being here and sharing how God is using you to build communities of Belonging.
