The roots (hidden life with God) and trunk (integrated identity) are established. Strength below the surface determines everything above it.

PHASE 2 (Year two): The Outer Journey
Branches, Leaves & Fruit - Living from the Overflow
Focus: Embodied formation — living intentionally out of union with Christ.
Core Question: How does Christ in me shape how I live and lead?
Emphases:
• Living from overflow rather than striving
• Organic fruitfulness flowing from abiding
• The relationship between the Imago Dei and stewardship of power
• Examining how one’s influence affects others (experiencing the wake of one’s abiding) • Understanding authority as relational and restorative
• Reflecting on how power is experienced by those around us
Participants Explore:
• How they use influence
• How their leadership impacts others emotionally and spiritually • Where subtle distortions of power may exist
• What Christlike stewardship looks like in real contexts
Participant Outcomes:
• Lead with humility and awareness
• Use influence in life-giving ways
• Align behavior with beloved identity
• Demonstrate fruit consistent with abiding (love, joy, peace, patience, etc.)

The branches, leaves, and fruit become visible. What was rooted internally now expresses itself externally.

Core Question: Where has God entrusted me with influence, and how am I stewarding power, love, and discipline in those spaces?
Emphases:
• Identifying specific spheres of influence (family, church, workplace, community, systems)
• Evaluating how one is stewarding: Power
Love Discipline
• Exploring cultural and systemic impact
• Considering communal, environmental, and global implications • Discernment of calling and contribution
• Courageous yet humble engagement with systems
Participants reflect on
• Immediate community impact • Organizational culture
• Broader societal systems
• The long arc of influence
Participant Outcomes:
• Become wise stewards of entrusted authority • Think systemically, not just individually
• Influence culture redemptively
• Understand themselves as part of a larger ecosystem of God’s work
Tree Image:
The individual tree is now seen within an orchard or forest. No tree stands alone. Each contributes to — and is shaped by — a larger environment.
